Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submitted manuscript has not been published elsewhere before and contains no materials the publication of which would violate any copyright or other personal or proprietary right of any person or entity.
  • The manuscript submission file should be in Microsoft Word or Open Document file format. Do not submit a PDF format. NOTE: : maximum file size of each file upload is 14 MB
  • Your paper is prepared based on JIME template. It is a must to make sure that your paper is prepared based on our word template before submission
  • The submitted manuscript must follow Author Guideline of this journal including the References.
  • The number of pages should be between 15-20 pages, including the reference list, based on JIME template (should be minimum 10000 words. The allowable length of the manuscript is at Editor’s discretion The word count excludes table, figures, and references).
  • You have to make sure that all tables and figures are cited in the texts (for example you can say “as shown in Table 1”, and for figures, you can say “as shown in Figure 1”).
  • All figures and Tables must have numbers and captions in English, correctly and according to order.
  • You have to make sure that all the references used in the texts are available in the reference list, all the references available in the references list are used in the texts, and all references list must be in English.
  • Minimum reference list of 25 articles with 80% in journal form.
  • Tables must be editable not photos or images.
  • Formulas and equations must be editable, not photos.
  • The similarity rate of your paper must be less than 30%.
  • If You fail to address any of the above points, your paper may be rejected.

Author Guidelines

Jurnal Ilmu Manajemen and Ekonomika manuscript preparation and style guidelines follow American Psychological Association (APA) formatting and style guide (www.apastyle.org) with a slight modification as follows:

Format

The manuscripts should be typed in A4 with 3 cm page margin (right, left, top, bottom). The manuscript should use 11-point Arial font for the main body of the article and 16 -point Arial for the title. Paragraph spacing must be 1.15 line-spaced, except indented quotations. All pages, including tables, appendices and references, should be consistently numbered. The manuscript must be saved and submitted as a word file.

 

Language

The manuscript must be written in good academic English. Effective, straightforward and communicative language (easy to understand) is highly preferred. Authors for whom English is not their native language are encouraged to have their paper checked before submission for grammar and clarity. Author who submitted their manuscript in Bahasa Indonesia and accepted for publication will be provided with assistance to translate in English with the applicable provisions.

Article Length & Title

To provide sufficient understanding, the article should be 10000 words. The allowable length of the manuscript is at Editor's discretion The word count excludes table, figures, and references. Choice of words in the title should reflect the content of the manuscript, specific and effective. The title should not exceed 15 words.

Author name and Affiliations

Maximum author(s) allowed is 3 (three) with the full name of each author (no title required, just full name), affiliation and email address.

Abstract & Keywords

Abstract written in English and should have information about the manuscript's objective, its method, its findings, and implications of the study. The maximum length of abstract is 300 words. Keywords should be provided after the abstract. Authors should select a maximum of 5 keywords that reflect specific theme and study areas of the articles.

Main Body

The basic rules for layout of the manuscript should have the main headings as follows:

  • Title Page
  • Abstract
  • Introduction
  • Literature Review
  • Methods
  • Managerial Implication
  • Conclusion
  • References

 

JIME accept original manuscript that has not previously published or written by another person in academic journals or conference proceeding. In terms of conference proceedings, unless it has additional 40% content difference, the editor will automatically declined the submission.
